Terms & Conditions

• Platform means the Tradies Local website and all associated services.
• Home Owner means a registered user who posts home repair or renovation jobs.
• Business Owner means a registered business user who posts hiring or quotation listings.
• Tradie means a verified trade professional registered on the platform.
• Post means any job, listing, or advertisement published on the platform.

You must be at least 18 years of age and a resident of Australia to use the platform. Business Owners and Tradies must hold a valid Australian Business Number (ABN). Tradies must hold a valid trade licence and current public liability insurance.

You must provide accurate and complete information when registering. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You must notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.

By creating an account, you confirm that you have read and agreed to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. Your acceptance timestamp is recorded at the time of registration.

Current fees are as follows (all amounts in AUD including GST where applicable):

• Home Owner job listing: $29 per post
• Business Owner registration: $199 one-time fee
• Business Owner monthly subscription: $50/mo
• Business Owner Hiring listing: $49 per post
• Business Owner Quotation listing: $79 per post
• Tradie registration: $199 one-time fee
• Tradie monthly subscription: $50/mo
• Tradie quotation submission: $29 per submission
• Advertisement: $49/wk

Fees are non-refundable except where required by Australian Consumer Law. We reserve the right to update fees with 14 days' written notice to affected account holders.

All posts (job listings, business listings, and advertisements) are subject to admin review before going live. We reserve the right to reject or remove any post that violates these Terms, contains false information, or is otherwise inappropriate.

You are solely responsible for the accuracy and legality of content you post. You must not post content that is misleading, defamatory, discriminatory, or in violation of any applicable Australian law.

Posts expire at the end of their chosen listing duration (1, 2, or 4 weeks). Expired posts remain visible in your account for 3 months after expiry. You will receive email reminders 2 days before and on the day of expiry.

Tradies Local verifies trade licences, insurance, and ABNs to the best of our ability. Verification is not a guarantee of the quality of work performed. We are not a party to any agreement between a tradie and a customer.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Tradies Local is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the platform, including but not limited to the quality of work performed by tradies, failure to perform contracted work, or disputes between users.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any right you may have under the Australian Consumer Law.

Account data is retained for a minimum of 3 years after account deletion, as required for compliance and dispute resolution purposes. Refer to our Privacy Policy for full details on how we handle your personal information.

We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms, provide false information, or engage in conduct that harms other users or the platform. You may delete your account at any time from your account settings.

These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales.
