Render bags
Estimate product packs from the manufacturer’s total application consumption.
Quantity / scenario planning · Reviewed 7 October 2026Your inputs
Check all starting values against your project and product. Enter your own prices; keep costs on the same GST basis.
How to prepare your inputs
Measure net wall area. Obtain the product consumption for the actual thickness and number of coats from the supplier.
How this calculation works
Product mass = area × total consumption × (1 + allowance). Packs round up.
24 m² at 16 kg/m² plus 10% needs 422.4 kg, or 22 packs of 20 kg.
Assumptions & exclusions
Enter total consumption covering all required coats or thickness, not a single-coat rate. Product example values are illustrative. Does not choose adhesive, waterproofing systems, thickness or compliance. Use the exact datasheet and substrate requirements.
Your next step
Confirm substrate preparation, reinforcing, movement joints, finishing and curing with your renderer.

What if my shape or product is different?
Use dimensions and product data that match the stated method. For complex work, calculate separate sections or obtain a project-specific take-off. Do not apply simple geometry to structural or compliance decisions.
Why are quantities rounded up?
Whole bags, packs, sheets or cartridges round up to purchasable units. Decimal area or volume results are planning figures; confirm order increments with the supplier.
Are my entries saved?
No. Entries remain in the current browser page and clear on reload. Printing can save your results and inputs as a PDF on your device.
